About the Role
As a lead engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design of hydro generator and turbine electrical auxiliary (Instrumentation & Electrical protection) systems and monitoring for installed based projects.
Responsibilities
Visiting site to collect the existing instrument, conduit routing, JB locations and protection device sizes details.
Study the contract, do the contract analysis, conceptual design review of the Auxiliaries Instrumentation and Protections scope of work.
Prepare the Electrical wiring diagrams, instrumentation list etc.
Deliver work packages to drafter for detail design for installed based projects using technical guidelines, design reviews and feedback of experience (FOE).
Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to ensure the design is executable.
Conduct the detail design review with all the cross function and make sure the design is inline with contract and internal guidelines.
Supervise the work of instrumentation engineers, contractors and draftsmen to deliver design calculations, technical specifications, drawings and BOM’s.
Collaborate with supply chain and site installation to meet milestones.
Apply rules and concepts for reliability, quality, safety and cost.
Collaborate with and assist project engineering managers for a given project.
Collaborate with consulting engineers and experts for FOE, design validation and root cause analysis (RCA).
Provide site support for commissioning and erection, perform site survey.
