About the Role
The Generator project engineering manager will be responsible for the technical execution of generator design for the hydroelectric industry. He/She will be responsible for the technical coordination between the engineering disciplines working on the generator design and its associated systems.
Responsibilities
Be the technical interface between the design engineering team working on generator product and the Engineering Project Manager.
Analyze and coordinate the technical contract requirements with the customer and product design team.
Plan and manage coordination meetings with the design engineers assigned to the generator product.
Manage engineering schedule and align technical decisions to ensure compliance with the delivery deadlines, quality, and cost.
Coordinate collection of technical feedback from projects and related mitigation plans with the support of design engineers.
Manage project budget, related margin movement and technical opportunities for the design engineering team associated with generator product.
Support the site teams during the installation and commissioning of hydro generating units.
Responsible to provide work packages to each design engineering disciplines for the project including the client requirements, interfaces, planning, performance, reliability, and budget.
Manage the technical documentation related to generator product.
Be the technical single point of contact to the customer for the generator product.
