Virtual Commissioning Engineers are responsible for developing 3D/2D simulation models of automated manufacturing processes and equipment. These models are used to validate PLC (programmable logic controller), HMI (human machine interface) programs, robot programs and Tesla Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that collect data into production databases. In this on-site role, you will develop Tesla Virtual Commissioning technology to test capabilities, evaluate functionality, and identify improvements for PLC/IPC programs, HMI programs and the manufacturing process. Virtual Commissioning engineer will work cross-functionally with Tesla’s teams in Manufacturing Engineering, Controls Engineering, and Robotics Engineering to design, validate, and test PLC and robot programs to achieve a comprehensive simulation of the production process.
