A Technical Project Engineer on the Automation Engineering team joins a world-class team of Engineers responsible for designing and building the automation controls of the robotic equipment that make up the Tesla Battery Cell and Energy factories, manufacturing our groundbreaking in-house 4680 battery cells.  Automation projects are highly interdisciplinary and require collaboration and coordination across engineering teams, global locations, and with vendors and new technologies. As Technical Project Engineer, you are responsible for managing technical projects from project concept and launch through the entire project lifecycle, from idea through Tesla scale mass production. Your impact includes driving the design and implementation of automated equipment such as automated storage systems, robotics, automated case and pallet conveyance, automated guided vehicles, fixtures, etc. Project Engineers own driving the scope, schedule, implementation, and cost of the project as well as additional functions such as vendor relations, stakeholder management and report outs. This role is based at the Austin Tesla Gigafactory, Tesla’s global headquarters.   Experienced Project Managers, Program Managers, and Project Engineers will be considered for this role.
