About the Role
The Technical Leader – Civil Structural Engineering, contributes to the team responsible for the development of Civil Engineering activities in support the New Plants Engineering projects.
Responsibilities
Provide Technical Leadership of a small group of Engineers and Contractors in activities related to analyses, calculations and technical evaluations required for timely resolution of design and implementation issues
Manage project work schedules and priorities
Mentor and provide technical leadership in area of expertise to other engineers and projects
Work within a team environment to execute work plans within budget and schedule
Support civil systems design and/or equipment construction activities, respond to vendor questions and deviation requests; review and approve vendor document submittals
Support the certification processes for GE Products to address all US NRC design certification requirements
Establish and maintain technical oversight of the applicable regulations
Interface with internal and external customers, suppliers, partners, licensing, the NRC and international regulatory authorities on technical issues
Incorporate design requirements into analyses and design documents
Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
