About the Role

As the Systems Test Lab Manager, you will play a critical role in helping Fluence deliver the next generation of energy storage technology through its suite of energy storage products.

Responsibilities

  • Determine how to accommodate new Fluence energy storage products at the Lab outside of Pittsburgh, PA.
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the lab.
  • Ensure the technical availability of the lab, testing equipment, and modifications as required.
  • Assess working conditions, identify possible hazards, and define appropriate protective measures.
  • Organize, support, and carry out the mechanical and electrical design, testing, commissioning and repair of test configurations and prototypes of battery storage systems.
  • Work closely with the Lab Program Manager to schedule and manage lab equipment setup.
  • Create lab documentation, including safety protocols and lab-specific work procedures.
  • Design instruction and training programs to establish electrically qualified persons.

Requirements

  • licensed electrician or electrical test engineer for low voltage power systems equipment
  • familiar with NFPA 70E
  • knowledge of inverter and battery technology
  • experience with MS Office applications
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • strong communication skills
