The unique expertise of our team focuses on the structural design of all vehicles Tesla puts on the road. We design the components that make up the foundation of the battery, enabling the most efficient and safe EVs on the road. While our team focuses heavily on ensuring occupant safety and controlled environments for the battery cells, our responsibility goes far beyond. Mechanical Design Engineers working out of Palo Alto, CA will be focused on improving designs for the cars of today and defining the designs for the vehicles of tomorrow. The role requires strong engineering/physics fundamentals and the tenacity to apply that to hands-on problem solving. A team player mentality is highly valued, as you are the design representative on the ground collaborating with our factory-based colleagues. Tesla moves quickly, so being self-motivated and disciplined is key to being successful in this role.
