The Energy Projects team is a cross-functional organization responsible for sales, engineering, and project execution of solar and storage projects. The team includes Engineering expertise from project development, design, power systems analysis, project & construction management, and commissioning. This team sits at the center of business development, Tesla technology, and the deployment of solar and storage projects. As a member of our team, you will help to shape the success of our projects in various applications across the Americas. You must have a genuine passion for enabling and executing projects that will fundamentally change the world’s energy infrastructure and must want to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The Estimator will be a key technical member of a pre-contract cross-functional team that focuses on evaluating, defining, and implementing strategies to develop stationary storage, solar, and microgrid opportunities deploying Tesla’s technology in a variety of applications and markets. You will be responsible for creating bottom-up Engineering, Procurement, and Construction estimates, thorough vetting and benchmarking of third-party quotes, identification of scope gaps and cost saving opportunities. You will also serve as a subject matter expert in a focused team, providing detailed data and analysis to drive team achievement of cost reduction goals. You will work closely with members of the Tesla’s Product Management, Sales & Development Engineering, Project Management and Procurement groups.   This is a diverse role where knowledge of basic design rules, constructability, permitting, utility requirements, and engineering fundamentals for utility scale and smaller complex projects is expected.
