About Tesla

The Sr. EHS Engineer, Energy Service Engineering will play a critical role in supporting Tesla’s Energy and Service Engineering teams and is responsible for driving, influencing, and achieving Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) process excellence, regulatory compliance, and overall risk reduction throughout operations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the design, development, and deployment of specialized service tools, equipment, and processes, ensuring strict adherence to EHS protocols. In addition, you will provide essential EHS input and oversight for technical documents, training programs, and Tesla’s third-party certification programs, with a direct impact on the safety and effectiveness of Tesla’s global field workforce. This role requires close collaboration with senior regional leadership, engineering teams, front-line operational teams, contracting partners, and cross-functional teams within Tesla. Together, you will drive continuous improvement in the design and service of Tesla’s energy storage systems and electric vehicle chargers.Based in Fremont, California, this position will involve up to 30% regional travel to support Tesla’s geographically dispersed operations.
