About the Role
Senior Software Engineer Test Automation will be driving development and testing of innovative solutions around grid-forming application controls for PCS in utility scale energy storage solutions.
Responsibilities
Design and implement automated test cases to validate and compare various types of grid-forming control applications.
Utilize programming languages like Python to interface with simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink or PSCAD as well as hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems.
Collaborate closely in a multidisciplinary environment comprising PCS controls developers, plant controls developers, product managers and grid integration experts to clarify requirements for utility scale battery energy storage systems.
Execute test cases in a software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environment.
Design and implement post-processing functionalities to facilitate test data analysis and comparison.
Comprehensively document test cases and test results.
