About the Role
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for managing the review, coordination, and approval of the detailed design package for Clearway Energy Group's pipeline of solar and energy storage projects throughout the U.S.
Responsibilities
Technical lead and primary design and engineering point of contact for the development and construction teams supporting awarded commercial, community solar, and utility-scale solar projects.
Manage all resources internally or externally as necessary to obtain or review final site due diligence required to finalize the scope, project costs, schedule, energy output, and risks.
Review the engineering deliverables to ensure the final design meets contractual cost and performance requirements.
Develop, refine, or evaluate energy input assessments and power output expectations.
Perform or oversee analyses to optimize site layouts and equipment selection.
Direct activities of designers, consultants, and contractors.
Write, edit, and/or review technical scope of work documents, specifications, procedures, site reports, etc.
Review and negotiate technical aspects of EPC contracts.
Coordinate with the Development team and external consultants.
Support construction as a technical escalation point and owner’s representative.
