About Fluence

The Product Manager – Energy Storage Systems has ownership of product success, with particular focus and oversight of product requirements, product roadmap, and product cost for Fluence’s products. The Product Manager is directly involved in the specification of product functionality and is a key stakeholder in the technological development of Fluence’s product offerings.

About the Role

The Product Manager works highly cross-functionally, touching every other part of the organization. The Product Manager also stays current on competitors’ offerings and ensures Fluence’s product plans result in offerings which are uniquely valuable to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, manage and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases.
  • Responsible for writing product requirements and market requirements document.
  • Direct interaction with customers and Sales team to assess customer needs and create product requirements addressing customer needs.
  • Develop product requirements from competitiveness analysis.
  • Create/modify product requirements based on product feedback and lessons learned from engineering, manufacturing sales, project delivery and services.
  • Work with teams worldwide to analyze requirements and find commonalities and differences in local requirements.
  • Development business case for investments and gain internal approval.
  • Optimize prioritization of development activities of product requirements to maximize Fluence’s competitive differentiation.
  • Develop core positioning and messaging for the product.
  • Provide contents for product marketing to develop marketing collateral.
  • Own product-level cost models and coordination with product cost management team.
  • Drive new product introductions through a stage gate release process.
  • Ensure product documentation development aligns with customer’s project development needs.
