About the Role

Fluence is looking for a Power Systems Engineer with experience in simulation of electrical power systems and modelling of network components including power electronics.

Responsibilities

Modeling of Battery Energy Storage Systems
Preparing and reviewing engineering deliverables including complex reports and presentations
Perform Steady State simulations to evaluate compliance to requirements
Perform Dynamic simulations (RMS) to evaluate compliance to requirements
Perform Power Quality studies to evaluate compliance to requirements
Conduct internal review and quality checks of engineering models and calculations

Requirements

Simulation of electrical power systems
Modeling of network components including power electronics
Power system analysis and control simulation tools (e.g., PSS®E, PowerFactory, PSCAD/EMTDC)
Programming skills in Python, Fortran, C++
Knowledge of utility grid interconnection standards
