About the Role
The Sr Infrastructure Architect performs intermediate engineering assignments associated with the configuration of computer systems and related phases of company products or projects which contribute to meeting design specifications.
Responsibilities
Designs and integrates computer system configurations in accordance with design criteria, security and performance objectives for defined systems.
Responsible for implementation of system design within project schedule.
Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
Perform complex intermediate to advanced functional tests of computer systems.
Manage third-party software requirements for GE’s core products and knowledge of how to install and configure the required third-party software.
Own third-party software configuration and network topology and configuration needed to comply with appropriate security standards.
Network equipment configuration needed for proper functioning of GE Vernova core products, third-party software and the systems on which they reside.
Perform system design and resolve implementation issues with lead engineer; implements the design within the allowed schedule with general supervision.
Integrates computer & network hardware, operating system software, and third-party software.
Support a secure system lifecycle with system installation, configuration and patching in adherence with given security standards.
Prepare system documentation, such as hardware design drawings, plans of system set-ups, cabling lists, project specific drawings and configuration reference manuals.
Provide input to technical lead on schedules and cost estimates.
Interfaces with customers on specific projects or technical issues.
Provide limited marketing support for proposals and demonstrations to potential customers.
