About the Role
The Electrical Engineer - Facilities will leverage a wide base of knowledge and practical skills across all types of electrical systems, up to 15kV, with a focus on Electrical Generation/Protection and Medium Voltage Distribution equipment.
Responsibilities
Work in a team environment with safety as the highest priority.
Be part of the facilities design team to support electrical system design, commissioning, operations, and technical troubleshooting of all levels of the electrical systems.
Lead and provide the primary technical direction on facility-based projects to both GE Vernova & Vendor teams.
Work closely with Mechanical/Process engineers to understand the overall process system designs and account for these systems in the electrical design.
Interface with electrical equipment suppliers for Request for Quote (RFQ’s), vendor drawing reviews, and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) planning.
Understand and write detailed electrical technical specifications to be used for electrical equipment procurement.
Develop technical instructions/procedures for working on electrical equipment safely.
Effectively communicate results to both internal and external customers by preparing detailed written reports or presentations.
