About the Role
The Manager of Shop Operations (MSO) – Tubing is the leader of the multi-shift Tubing value stream in Fuel Component Operations (FCO) shop.
Responsibilities
- Lead a strong nuclear safety and EHS compliance culture with emphasis on employee involvement.
- Manage Tubing operation in Fuels Component Operations to meet defined targets in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
- Manage supervision team directly and provide guidance to other members of the team that support operation.
- Lead a strong quality culture compliant to the Quality Management System.
- Achieve production and budget commitments with superior product quality and high customer satisfaction.
- Plan, organize, and manage delivery of production.
- Optimize Shop Operations through Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Drive continuous improvement Human Performance (HU) processes.
- Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement.
- Champion positive employee relations.
- Drive operations team towards execution of business goals.
- Effectively interface with other members of the leadership team and support organizations.
- Interface with customers, regulators, and suppliers as needed.
- Partner with other members of the team to research, audit and resolve discrepancies.
- Earn building manager certification for FCO and/or other position(s) in the Emergency Organization (EO) within 12 months of starting the role.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff members.
