About the Role
As a Lead Scientist - Metallurgy, you will conduct research in an interdisciplinary team environment involving new alloy design, process optimization, property optimization, root cause analysis for processing and manufacturing improvements, and metallurgy-based service & repair work for a variety of metallic materials systems.
Responsibilities
Conduct research in an interdisciplinary team environment
Participate in technology road mapping and competitive assessment
Participate in the shaping, cultivation and execution of government contracts
Author program proposals to external agencies
Provide expertise to resolve technical challenges
Work across organizations on project definition and execution
Share project progress through presentations and reports
Provide technical development through coaching/mentoring
Perform all work in accordance with EHS guidelines
