About the Role

The Lead Engineer of Battery Module Engineering promotes solid execution excellence of battery modules, battery hardware and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Advanced Engineering Module activities
  • Lead the design and invention of best-in-class battery modules
  • Lead the selection of technical choices with documentation
  • Manage technical planning of modules
  • Support planning of thermal propagation system design
  • Lead planning of service and installation strategies
  • Work with Product Management to establish requirements
  • Work with Program Management to establish product development timelines
  • Work with supply chain team members for sourcing
  • Guide design release engineers/component owners
  • Ensure a clean transition to the Execution Engineering team
  • Advise on processes and expectations

Requirements

  • Understanding of cell chemistry
  • Understanding of BMS
  • Understanding of thermal propagation mitigation methods
  • Understanding of module validation methods
  • Understanding of DFM/DFA methods
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Deep understanding of FEA
  • Understanding of statistical methods
  • Understanding of DFMEA
