About the Role

We are currently seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician I. This role will be responsible for responding to IT support requests, which include but are not limited to: physical equipment setup and troubleshooting, responding to support requests via ticket systems or as directed by a manager/supervisor, and the shipping or other delivery of IT equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for issues regarding equipment, software, and other IT requests
  • Provide basic troubleshooting for local and remote employees
  • Respond to service desk tickets and provide solutions for reported customer problems
  • Escalate higher-level requests to more senior members of the IT department as appropriate
  • Help with internal office moves and buildouts
  • Support printer/scanner setup and troubleshoot printing/scanning issues
  • Log and track issues using company ticketing system, and maintain history records and related problem documentation
  • Keep peers / manager informed of trends and any significant problems or delays
  • Keep customers updated on status of reported problems or projects
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work schedule to work some evenings and weekends for special projects
  • Assist in AV setups as needed for meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Windows
  • Basic knowledge of Mac OS X
  • Basic knowledge of networking
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with SharePoint
