About the Role
The Health & Welfare Accountant is responsible for key accounting and reporting processes associated with GE Vernova Health and Welfare Plans, focused on US Based Employees & Retirees.
Responsibilities
Accounting lead for Retiree Health & Life (RH&L) valuation
Monthly JE’s & FAS 158 workpaper
Hyperion updates
Census file review/reconciliation
10-K/10-Q tie-out
Lead contact for Deloitte review
Prepare quarterly EBNI calculations
Assist with preparing monthly ledger over/under analysis
CAVOL process owner including annual filings
Owner of monthly contributions process
Owner of pay-all life insurance plans
Prepare quarterly PCORI accrual & billing
Support pricing analysis & cost model for union negotiations
Account reconciliation, JE/wire prep & review
Requirements
Knowledge of US ERISA law
Experience managing and accounting for US-based health and welfare programs
Experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, Hyperion, TORCH)
