About the Role
The Requisition Engineer will provide accurate and timely overall technical project management of Generator CMU (conversions, modifications, and upgrades) projects which meet GE design and experience in support of services activities while achieving leadership in reliability and customer service.
Responsibilities
Provides technical expertise and develop technical solutions for a successful execution of the engineering and related downstream activities for the overall CM&U order/project.
Utilize standardized tools and process to set up project structure within different GE systems.
Create and coordinate the overall engineering and drafting deliverable schedule using GTTC (PLM) platform.
Manage changes over the lifecycle of the project to ensure timely delivery to support parts delivery, outage activities, or other downstream work.
Ensure timely demand placement of parts designed and defined by engineering teams.
Provide appropriate solutions to developing technical issues arising during generator CM&U project.
Write Field Service Instructions (FSI) or Field Modification Instruction (FMI) documentation.
Integrate with Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing and Sourcing, Vendors, Service Shops and other teams as necessary to ensure a successful project.
Keep attention to the overall project schedule and budgeted hours.
Address and correct deviations as they arise.
Provide timely and accurate responses to technical inquiries using technical files.
Complete project closeout activities including gathering feedback and data to support continuous improvement.
Lead / participate process improvement projects when assigned.
