The Engineering Manager – Civil/Structural Analysis provides leadership to a diverse technical team of dedicated engineers and scientists. The team is responsible for analyzing structural integrity of nuclear plant buildings in nuclear island, turbine island and the balance of plant.

About the Role

Provide technical and managerial leadership for the development of the team’s technical and leadership talent/depth.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee team performance, including hiring, training, mentoring and performance evaluations
  • Plan, organize and manage the delivery of technical activities/tasks in support of engineering deliverables
  • Develop and maintain nuclear civil structural analysis methodologies, procedures, and work instructions
  • Update and maintain analysis modeling tools/infrastructure to support analysis functions
  • Provide leadership supporting performance and program management of assigned work
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with other internal engineering team managers
  • Interface with external partners, customers, the NRC or other applicable country specific regulatory agency
  • Provide guidance and manage internal/external resources to ensure the quality of deliverables
  • Support commercial and marketing opportunities to develop new business opportunities
  • Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the GE
