As a Tesla Engineering Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide array of utility equipment. You will apply your technical skills to troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and install mechanical & electrical systems, building systems, utility generation equipment, providing optimal support to all manufacturing operations. You will use software tools to capture data, track downtime, plan work, evaluate and assist in development and enhancement of preventive maintenance and safety programs. You will work with the plant operations engineering teams to sustain, improve and modernize equipment.This is a physically demanding job working in tight spaces, requiring walking and standing as well as bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing ladders and lying on the ground intermittently throughout the day. In addition, the technician may wear a fall protection harness while working from heights or from a suspended position. Engineering Maintenance Technicians will lift up to 50 lbs. and utilize specialized tools that require the user to listen and comprehend. Additionally, technicians will use varying hand and power tools as needed.
