About the Role
The Engineer is responsible for supporting key design initiatives across the electric power industry with a focus on design integration of electrical systems/instrumentation and control hardware for gas turbine, generator systems.
Responsibilities
Support the electrical systems design and integration of an Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Package for various power plant applications.
Support cross functional teams with gas turbine controls, generator protection, excitation, vibration monitoring and fire systems.
Support design reviews for reliability, performance, safety, and compliance programs for overall gas turbine generator systems.
Participate in problem solving and resolution skills.
Create and manage design schedules for projects/programs.
Interpret Single Line Diagrams and develop wiring, loop, instrumentation, and schematic diagrams.
Drive containment solutions for quality defects.
Apply lean methodologies to optimize engineering processes/tools.
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects.
Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology.
Collaborate with key functional teams to execute on projects/programs.
