About the Role
The Electro Mechanical Technician Leader for the Bangor, Maine GE Vernova facility will be the linchpin in the efficient functioning of the Maintenance department.
Responsibilities
Monitor performance and take proactive action to solve problems and mitigate risk to key performance indicators
Lead technician in a group of technicians who perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, CNC and PLC repairs and troubleshooting on assigned equipment and facilities to required standards and codes
Plan, prioritize, and distribute work for team
Develop daily and weekly work schedules
Develop and maintain a system to ensure adequate daily pass down between shifts with feedback
Monitor status of jobs ensuring work completion
Focal point for production and indirect sourcing team members
Focus team performance on machine uptime, technician productivity, and preventive maintenance (PM) completions
Track team performance and maintain team dashboards
Requisition and expedite parts to ensure availability to complete work
Maintain tools and required records in maintenance management system (e.g. Maximo)
Perform material handling duties as required
Safely perform required rigging tasks and lifts using cranes and related equipment
Lead Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) measures to minimize machine downtime
Use TPM root cause trouble shooting tools to develop machine maintenance around preventing common breakdowns
Communicate effectively and work well with others
Maintain accurate written and computer records
Use gauging equipment as required for the position
Perform calculations as required for the position
Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
Perform plumbing, carpentry, fabrication, welding, and machining as required
Repair and troubleshoot all aspects of CNC machine tools
Inspect contractors’ work for compliance with specifications
Utilize the maintenance management system, purchasing or other systems to plan, organize and assign work, order parts and maintain dashboards
