About the Role

The Electrical Supervisor assists with the electrical team's understanding of the production process and leads troubleshooting and repair of electrical, controls, and some mechanical aspects of production and facilities equipment on assigned shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes a team of electricians actively involved in various craft specialties.
  • Responsible for shift schedule including work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignments, and back up for absent employees.
  • Diagnoses, delegates, instructs and carries out skilled activities involving the repair, installation, calibration, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Guarantees adherence to safety practices and principles.
  • Creates and manages work/emergency work orders and prioritizes daily and preventative assignments.
  • Monitors production process operating parameters and makes appropriate adjustments.
  • Participate in root cause problem solving and equipment performance improvement efforts.
  • Identify corrective action and troubleshooting to improve reliability of equipment.
  • Supervise, train, and coach employees to accomplish productivity, safety, quality and efficiency objectives.
  • Coordinating during shutdowns, and conduct shift meetings.
  • Upkeep of reporting, records and schematics, documentation of inspections, and confined space monitors.
  • Escalate & communicate operational information and issues promptly for proper resolution.
  • Supports the production team in improvements to all aspects of production as needed.
  • Perform all additional duties as assigned and special projects such as safety projects.
