The Destructive Physical Analysis Team’s mission is to provide critical fault analysis data in the pursuit of reducing field issues, in collaboration with large cross-section of other engineering teams. Technicians on the team are responsible for a wide variety of measurement and material analysis on battery cell components. This is a high visibility individual contributor role that requires extensive hands-on work focused on fault analysis and sample collection activities.We are seeking a multi-faceted individual who will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on issues effecting safety and/or performance related defects by dissecting battery cells.To be effective, the Destructive Physical Analysis Technician will need to be intimately familiar with the detailed behavior of lithium-ion battery cells, it’s components, signature of failure modes and the tools and equipment used in dissecting and analyzing them. The individual will work with other manufacturing teams to quickly escalate findings, following appropriate channels, to improve quality, reliability, durability of the products
