About the Role

The Commissioning Manager is responsible for leading, planning, coordinating and overseeing the commissioning process of the entire Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing detailed commissioning plans and procedures for the BESS project.
  • Attend, and in some cases lead, regular meetings as required with Fluence, subcontractors, the client, TNSP, AEMO and other key stakeholders.
  • Be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all commissioning and testing matters.
  • Plan the commissioning and pre-planning work breakdown structure (WBS) with Project Management.
  • Provide regular timely updates against that schedule.
  • Providing technical support and expertise to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that the commissioning process is carried out safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Take full ownership in leading and managing a team of technicians and engineers during the commissioning process.
  • Demonstrate compliance with customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and system specifications by performing system integration tests and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinating with project managers and contractors to ensure that all commissioning and testing activities are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Preparing reports and documentation to support project commissioning activities.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including project owners, regulators, and vendors.
  • Provide internal, sub-contractor and client training as required.
