About the Role

The Chief Estimator role is responsible for preparing and approving general and/or discipline estimates for capital cost projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team during the estimating process including executive review and estimating meetings.
  • Plan, develop and present capital cost estimates for projects.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation.
  • Develop and maintain standard estimating templates, formats, standards, and processes.
  • Perform risk and contract management responsibilities on bids.
  • Review total estimate to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Research and lead process of continuous improvement in estimating methods.
