About the Role

Factorial Energy is looking for a Cell Design Engineer – All Solid-State Battery, to join its Product Development team in Billerica, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will engage in Lithium rechargeable battery design-oriented tasks and will focus on the optimization of overall battery performance by controlling multiple aspects of the battery.

Responsibilities

  • Spend at least 50% of your time inside Factorial's labs, working directly with our development teams
  • Design the cell by the multiple performance aspects (cycle life, energy density, power density etc.)
  • Review and feedback on the designed cell parameters to fine-tune them up to the customer’s requirements
  • Engage in cell failure root cause analysis if required
  • Interface and work closely not only with the rest of cell design team but also with internal R&D team, process team and production team to solve/mitigate the problems from the cell level
  • Engage in responding to the customer requests by coordinating with the project managers
  • Maintain compliance with all company protocols related to confidentiality, assignment of inventions, and other policies or duties as identified and assigned

Requirements
