About the Role

The Bearing Pedestal Technical Leader within the Steam Turbine Engineering team has the full design lifecycle ownership for the Bearing Pedestals and adjunct components, including Journal & Thrust Bearings, Turning Gear, Instrumentation, & Clutch in SS STAG applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead component design team in execution of NPI, OTR, and RTS activities for new units and aftermarket services.
  • Lead and mentor global team of Steampath Engineers, enabling their technical and career growth.
  • Enhance and optimize customer documentation to improve quality, customer usability, and reduce cycle time from project release.
  • Drive technology advancements from a Shaftline System, subsystem, component and material / life vantage points.
  • Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams (Drafting/Sourcing/Manufacturing) to execute and deliver team PLM tasks on-time with quality.
