Solid Power is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our growing talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries.
About the Role
The AP Accountant reports to the Senior Transactional Lead and will support all AP activities including receiving, reviewing, coding and processing of expense reports and G&A invoices.
Responsibilities
High volume of AP processing with manual three-way and two-way match with an emphasis on SOX compliance of Delegation of Authority 'DOA' and control documentation
Accurate GL and cost center coding
AP activities including: receiving, reviewing, coding and processing of expense reports, G&A invoices, Operational vendor invoices, and credit card transactions
Vendor set up, outreach, maintenance, and statement reconciliation
Contacting vendors to complete ACH and banking confirmations
Assure transactions are documented and properly classified for both internal reporting and federal, state and local tax reporting purposes
Reconcile, note, and resolve or report discrepancies found in records
Perform general office duties such as filing and handling routine correspondence
Assist with month-end close
Assist with streamlining accounts payable processes and refinement of process documentation
Special projects as assigned
Requirements
competence in various accounting software applications such as SAP
cloud-based bill pay
Office365
Intermediate Excel skills including familiarity with VLOOKUP and Pivot tables
ability to read and interpret various types of documentation

proven ability to learn new accounting systems and processes quickly
ability to identify and calculate sales and use tax
