About the Role

We are looking to hire a proactive and Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. In this position, you will be responsible for the management, oversight, and integrity of the General Ledger, the close process, inventory management and other operational accounting functions ensuring the accurate and effective processing and efficient execution. This role will report into the Corporate Controller.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving the monthly and quarterly close process
  • Analyze and provide commentary on the balance sheet and income statement variances
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and ad-hoc reporting for senior management
  • Prepare and review reconciliations as part of the close process
  • Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and assist with the preparation of workpapers in advance of audits
  • Supervise and direct fixed asset management process
  • Review, recommend, and implement best practices regarding accounting policies and procedures
  • Oversee inventory control procedures and ensure accurate inventory valuation
  • Help analyze inventory variances and prepare reports for management
  • Prepare and record revenue recognition entries
  • Collaborate with other finance team members to identify ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the day-to-day operations as well as the close process and assist with the implementation of such recommendations
  • Provide oversight and mentoring to the staff accountant

Requirements

  • Technical accounting experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to translate financial concepts
