About the Role
Working within the Commissioning & Construction (C&C) organization, reporting to the C&C Regional Manager and the Site Manager / Overall Construction Manager, the piping supervisor is in charge of the BOP(Balance of Plant)-OFF BASE piping system pre-fabrication & installation for all the system feeding the Gas-Turbine/Generator shaft line equipment & associated auxiliaries in open & combined cycle plant configuration for extended scope.
Responsibilities
Site activities related to Piping installation of equipment and plant scope.
May lead others directly or indirectly and/or sponsor subcontractors.
Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.
Perform detailed material inventory of GE supplied material.
Collect material certificate of all piping components.
Review welding documents WPS, welder qualification before welding activities start.
Ensure PED compliance with SQS for all welding, NDT documents.
Report cost of non-quality with GE tools: Service-Now, Engineering Request.
Perform final inspection of all systems.
Document quality plan & inspection sheets timely and follow up red marked-up documentation.
Attend systems walk down for turn over to commissioning, follow up punch list item resolution.
Document means (personnel man-hours per discipline, cranes, scaffolding) utilized during installation for future budget purpose.
Document cost of non-quality.
Issue progress report to the Construction manager or Site Manager and TK/SI Installation Leader.
Issue end of assignment report and edit Lessons Learned.
