Job Description

The Director of Global Benefits Mobility at Samsara will lead the design and implementation of global healthcare, wellness, mobility, immigration, and absence management programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with company strategy. This role involves collaboration with various departments and managing a team of benefits professionals in a fast-paced, remote work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global benefits design and execution, including market benchmarking and vendor management
  • Ensure competitive benefits offerings aligned with local regulations and company strategy
  • Oversee administration and support for employee immigration needs
  • Assess and recommend innovative practices in employee leave and time-off benefits
  • Partner with leave admin vendor and payroll team for accurate processing of pay for employees on leave
  • Design and execute global mobility and immigration programs for transfers and relocations
  • Develop program communications to enhance employee understanding and engagement
  • Assist Total Rewards and People Operations staff with special projects
  • Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing benefits team

Requirements

  • 10 years experience in Global Benefits specifically focused on program management of healthcare, wellness, mobility, immigration, leave management and retirement planning.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to model and forecast benefit program impact, cost, and capacity planning for senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to design and communicate clear processes, and a detail-oriented yet flexible approach to problem solving.
  • Knowledge of government regulations and filing and compliance requirements affecting benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, DOL and ACA requirements.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems Workday, benefits administration platforms, and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and judgment ability to make sound decisions independently; solutions-oriented; thrives in ambiguity.
  • Impeccable discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent self-management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, juggling multiple tasks and projects at the same time, with tight turnaround times.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field equivalent experience.
